Born in Venezuela, María, founder of Acuarela Events, has over 30 years of professional experience in floral design and event décor. Her journey with flowers began at a very young age while working in her family’s flower shop located on the coast of Lake Maracaibo, established in 1966. Surrounded by creativity and guided by her mother and sisters, María developed a deep passion for floral arrangements that naturally evolved into a lifelong profession.
By 1987, María expanded her floral work across several cities in Venezuela, specializing in floral decorations for weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations. Her designs are known for their romantic, exotic, and modern styles, always customized to meet each client’s vision and preferences.
In 2007, María moved with her family to the Tampa Bay area in Florida, where she founded Acuarela Events. With a strong belief that every client is unique, she provides personalized attention and custom floral designs for every event. Her professionalism, dedication, and attention to detail have allowed her to continuously serve clients for over three decades.
Emilia has been an integral part of Acuarela Events since its founding, growing alongside the business and developing a strong love for the event planning and hospitality industry. From an early age, Emilia naturally gravitated toward organizing family gatherings, celebrations, and special occasions, discovering her passion for creating meaningful experiences.
She pursued her professional career by earning a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management, and since 2010 has gained extensive experience working in multiple areas of the hospitality industry. Her background includes event coordination and planning for hotels, country clubs, and private events, giving her a well-rounded understanding of both logistics and guest experience.
Emilia is dedicated to working closely with each client, ensuring that every detail is executed with care and excellence. She believes that no two events are the same, and she takes pride in creating celebrations that reflect each client’s unique style. From the planning process to the final guest experience, Emilia ensures that every event exceeds expectations.
